AYNLA Co-Hosted the 4th National MDGs Summit For Young Leaders

[May 27-29, 2010]

The Youth Advocates for United Nations partnered with the Alliance for the organization of the 4th National Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Summit for Young Leaders held last May 27-29, 2010 at the University of Philippine Diliman. The theme for the 2010 Summit was "Tayo Tayo Pa Rin sa 2015: Be  Accountable" seeking accountability to everyone in achieving the MDGs which is bound by 2015. This was one of the earliest activities the Alliance participated in. The Alliance was represented by its Founder & President, Alvin Cloyd Dakis, Trustees Loribelle Cristobal & Norman Solamo, and members Giovani Matias and JL Trinidad.

The 2010 Summit was an urgent call to action for the last five (5) remaining years on the achievement of the promise for the MDGs. The Summit will showcase all the heroisms of the youth and youth organizations through actual testimonies on how the youth continuously implement effective programs, projects and activities in the localized implementation of the MDGs, create action plans to cascade the platform of the new president through a united youth for MDGs, a mutual accountability for good governance and solutions to the crosscutting issues that affect the Philippine society and the rest of the peoples of the world.

Other partners include AIESEC Philippines, UNFPA Youth Advisory Panel, YRNET Philippines and Rotaract Club of Rajah Sulayman.

Our Service Motto - iLEAD to SERVE!

[May 10, 2010]
AYNLA launched its International Motto - iLEAD To Serve!
iLEAD to Serve! is the international service motto of the Alliance. This came from all the core concepts in the Core Concept Model recreated to become a statement. iLEAD to Serve! shall become the standard service motto that will be used by all members and chapters of the Alliance. AYNLA IDEALS is another version of the core concepts but is rarely used.

AYNLA's Core Concept Model: The structure of the organization's pillars.

Core Concept
Description
Innovation
The Power to Change. It is the core that shapes what is unseen, to create something revolutionary and start a new trend in practice, education and everything in the profession. It is set to be on top of the main pillars.
Leadership
The Power to Influence. It is the core that affects and effects others to follow on what is right and just and to set or influence another person’s mindset, belief or lifestyle from his or her own. This is the first main pillar.
Excellence
The Power to Achieve. It is the core that pushes every leader to give more than what is required. To provide something more than the ordinary, outlasting one’s self. This is the second main pillar.
Advocacy
The Power to Inspire. It is the core that burns with passion to serve the underprivileged, the abused and the unwanted. This is a character that leaders possess and drives them to continue their passion regardless of trials. This is the third main pillar.
Dedication
The Power to Persevere. This is the core that endures hardships and challenges. This brings focus to what is mandated and pushes through regardless of difficulties. This is the fourth main pillar.
Service
The Power to Rebuild. This is the core that is the foundation of everything our leaders are doing and will be doing. This is the main reason why our professions exist. Empowerment springs from undying love of service. This is the base of all our main pillars.
